I'm grateful for my heritage. I have roots in a few different countries. Germany, Norway and England are where the bulk of my family came from. Some of my family came to America pre-Revolutionary War (1600's), and some came as late as 1908 from Germany. I am grateful for my ancestors and for the strengths that they passed down to me. I'm thankful that they were brave enough to start a new life in this country. Because of those choices, I am able to enjoy the many freedoms of America.

It is so wonderful to know where our families come from, isn't it. Wow, some as late as 1908--that is cool. And you have some wonderful family traditions that have been shared and that you continue. I love it.
