I'm not a very good blogger these days...

I've even been forgetting to post my Wordless Wednesdays! To be honest, I'm not sure why I've been in a blogging fog, I just have for a long time. I'm thankful for those that still stop by here when I do post.

Sometimes I think I am doing a service by only posting an occasional Wordless Wednesday and not much else. That way, people don't have to feel bad for not keeping up with me...because there hasn't been anything to keep up with!

I could blame my lack of blogginess on having seven kids, but really, aside from getting to hold a cuddly cutie pie all the time, and more diapers to change, seven kids isn't much different that six. I love my kids, I love being a Mom and I wouldn't trade any of them, and YES, they do sometimes drive me crazy! Such is life. There are days I get a headache from all their noise and days I really just want a break from it all, but when it comes down to it, I love my family, and the wonderful times make the frustrating times worth it!

So, to catch everyone up on my life lately...

We have seven kids! (I know...you already knew that right? See? You are great at keeping up with me!)

We have a small house. Seven kids and a small house make for a lot of noise, and not a lot of elbow room. One bathroom and three bedrooms wasn't cutting it. But at the same time...we are so incredibly blessed to have that much!

When I was a kid, my parents slept in the living room because they had six kids and only three bedrooms. I am a bit more selfish than they were, so we still have our own room. What we did do was to build a bedroom for our daughter B in the living room. Our house is old. The living room and dining room are kind of one big room, and they have shag carpeting, so we have always had our table in the kitchen to avoid the evils of cleaning ramen out of the shag. The dining half of the room was where we kept the computer and piano. We built a room for B in the living room side, got rid of our couch and moved the entertainment center into the other part of the living room. After four months we finally bought a new couch. Our living room area is tiny, but luckily our kids are pretty small too, so we make due. They have room to play on the wii, and I'm pretty sure that's all they really care about as far as living rooms go. So B is in her own room, and once Baby D is older, he will share with her for a few years.

Yes, we are hoping to add on someday. The housing market is failing so much right now, that our house value has dropped, so we couldn't get a big enough loan to add on. We got new windows and siding instead, and hope to add on in a couple of years.

So that's about it for excitement around here...new bedroom for B, new baby for all of us, new windows, back door and siding and new couch.

I will try to be a better blogger. At least I'll try to consistently post a Wordless Wednesday every week. Hopefully it will stop raining for long enough for me to get some decent pics soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

When I was almost 12 my parents sold our house and moved us to Texas because my dad missed it there. After 6 weeks we moved back to AZ because my mom was so miserable being away from all her family, and that made my dad feel miserable! Since we had no home, we rented a tiny 2 bedroom apartment. My parents got one bedroom and my 3 brothers got the other one. My bed was out in the dinky living room with no privacy whatsoever. UGH, not so fun! :P

My mom and dad made their bedroom in a little sitting room off our living room and my 2 sisters and I shared a room while by 2 brothers shared. One bathroom. I was so glad when we moved to a house with 2 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms. But I was in 9th grade by then so I was extremely grateful.

I have to mention that when I was a kid I didn't now my room was so small. I didn't know until about 6 years ago when I went back through it when it was up for sale. It was dang small!

I don't know how you get any blogging done with 7 little cherubs at your feet. I'd be cuddling that cute pie most of the day. I think you're doing great. As for the house space, hopefully you can add on some day and make it work but in the meantime, my mom always said, when there's heart room, there's house room. Hopefully that works for you! :-)

We lived in a 2 bedroom right before this house-maybe it was 900 sq ft total- and our baby slept in the front room. When we were walking through this house my 3 yo looked at the front room and said, "Oh good, that can be the baby's room."

Your baby is absolutely scrumptious!

Three of my kids shared a room for 7 years, and I've been married for 19 1/2 years and never had new furniture. Lucky you! Microfiber/suede is the BEST fabric EVER! Everything comes out. Even sharpie!

When I was a young girl 4 of us girls shared a room--two sets of bunk beds. Two other girls in one room and then my parents in one. And, one bathroom ; )

You are such a great mom. Sure do love and appreciate your enthusiasm and your positive attitude.

Love the picture of the little guy.
